Welcome to Water Island Properties.  My name is Chuck Gidley of John Foster Real Estate, U.S. Virgin Islands. Allow me to give you a brief overview of Water Island.  My family has lived on the island for over 25 years and I moved here 10 years ago.  It is our home. Seclusion, privacy, peace and quiet, but with easy access to St Thomas.

Water Island is the fourth largest island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  It is located within the  Charlotte Amalie harbor area about .4 miles from St Thomas.  The island is .62 miles long with a total area of 492 acres. 


Water Island is a residential community with Honeymoon Beach as the crown jewel of the island.  Click here for an aerial view of the island.  St Thomas is just off the top of the map (Map 1 - Topography).


We have about 100 homes on the island and approximately 120 full time residents.  Many of the homeowners just come down for the high season (December thru May) and others offer their houses for short term rental. Follow this link to view the layout and division of land on the island (Map 2 - Land Division).
